For the third time, Yvan Durand accepted to produce one of his miniatures' sculpts. This time Yvan did not seek his inspiration from Manga but in another passion: comic book.
This miniature represents the moon goddess Séléné. She comes from an illustration by the talented Laurent Paturaud, author of several comic books.

"I created this drawing based on a search for a female character that I made originally for my first cartoon series: « Les Passants du Clair de Lune » published by Glénat.
Selena's character is inspired by Selene, the Greek goddess of the moon.
Rather than represent it as too symbolic silver tones, I preferred to draw it giving a bright and warn skin color that I opposed to the cold and dark tones of her hair and drape that covers a portion of his body.
I voluntarily designed large eyes as clear as the moon of beautiful evenings. As for her curves, they are round and full like the moon when illuminated by the sun."
This flat miniature has been cast as limited series (80 copies) with the help of Fenryll Company. It is sold with its authenticity certificate numbered and signed both by Yvan and Laurent.
For those who don't know Yvan, he is an old miniatures' painter and sculptor. He got several prices in famous contests. You can admire his works at the AFM Montrouge web site whom he is member: Yvan Gallerie.
Alicia and Lucille have been his first Manga miniatures for sales. Usually Yvan makes only one copy of his sculpts and paints just for his own private collection.

The Selena miniature is cast in high quality resin in order to provide maximum details as for the original sculpt. Its size is 79mm high. It is sold at a price of 15 euros. You can make online order (see below).
